Dr Albert Ganado and the MMS Committee had the honour of an audience with His Excellency Dr George Vella to congratulate His Excellency’s appointment as President of the Republic of Malta. The very warm welcome that His Excellency afforded us during the visit was overwhelming.
We were all impressed by His Excellency’s keen interest shown not only in Maltese cartography, but also in all other cultural matters which concern our beautiful country. His Excellency has been a member of our society since its foundation and when His Excellency was Minister of Foreign Affairs His Excellency very generously used to offer Pardo Hall at Palazzo Parisio to hold our Annual General Meetings
The Society is this year celebrating its 10th anniversary and His Excellency most graciously accepted to be its Patron, and will be investigating the possibility of hosting the MMS seminar Imago Melitae 2019 to be held on 16 November, at San Anton Palace.
